The conference "Education in the Intangible Cultural Heritage" is an event for those who understand that education is the key to the protection of living heritage. It brings together educators, scientists, representatives of cultural institutions, public organizations and bearers of traditions who are looking for modern ways to integrate intangible cultural heritage into the educational process.
What topics does the conference cover?
What topical topics will be the focus of discussion?
- Education and its relationship with the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Analysis of the role of educational institutions in the implementation of the provisions of the 2003 UNESCO Convention. Discussion of ways to integrate the principles of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage into curricula, educational activities and research practices. Examples of successful educational initiatives that contribute to raising awareness of living heritage.
- Non-formal education as a way of transferring knowledge. Consideration of non-formal education as an effective tool for preserving and popularizing traditional knowledge, skills and practices. Experience of master classes, schools of traditional crafts, folklore camps and community initiatives that contribute to the intergenerational transmission of living heritage. Discussion on cooperation between formal and non-formal education in the field of ICH.
- The fourth goal of sustainable development. Innovative methods of education. Discussion of the role of quality education (Goal 4 of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development) in shaping a responsible attitude towards cultural heritage. Presentation of modern innovative methods and approaches - project-based learning, interdisciplinary practices, digital tools - that contribute to sustainable development and the protection of cultural diversity.

The event will be interesting for pedagogical workers, scientists who study the field of NKS and pedagogy, educators, and workers in the field of culture.
Participation in the conference is an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with like-minded people, share your own ideas and achievements. And you will also be able to discuss the problems of studying and researching NKS in Ukraine and the world, together generating ideas for their solution!
How to participate?
To participate in the conference, you need to fill out a Google form and upload the abstracts of the report in Ukrainian to Google Drive at the link.
Invitations to the meeting will be sent to email addresses the day before the event. After the conference, electronic certificates will be sent to the speakers' email addresses. An online collection of participants' abstracts will be created based on the conference results.
Please note that the authors are responsible for the content and presentation of the material in the abstracts.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse participation in the conference to those whose abstracts or abstracts do not meet the established requirements and standards of academic integrity, and not to explain the reason for the refusal.
