An ornamental motif consisting of a series of vertical teardrop-shaped elements joined together, one end of which is rounded and the other pointed. It is seen mainly in carving, less often in inlay works. As a rule, it is used as a frame for round shapes or a transition to rounded ones. The combination of ‘slozky’ with other elements produces a number of new centrepirce motifs.
