Lilyky (Bats)
An ornamental motif consisting of vertically elongated diamonds with circles in the centre. Each of the diamonds somewhat resembles a bat called ‘lylyk’ in the Hutsul region. This motif is typical for carving. In the inlay works, this motif is made up of connected diamonds or squares arranged at an angle with a horizontal line in the middle of them and intermitting circles.
