A centerpiece rosette-type motif based on a circle (ring) element. There are several types of this motif, namely: a circle in the centre with a dot; several concentric circles with a ring, or a ring with a dot in the middle; concentric circles with “jags” or “rays” arranged around the perimeter; circles with spikes (straight or arched) in the centre. The motif is used in wood carving, inlay designs, woodburning, metal chasing, and pysanka (Easter egg) design.
