An ornamental motif consisting of three straight lines or V-shaped channels that fan out from the centre in different directions and resemble a bird’s footprint, hence the motif's name. It is also called ‘lastivky’ (swallows) because it vaguely resembles a flying swallow. This motif is used in wood carving, woodburning, metal chasing, and sometimes in inlays.
