Vitriachky (Pinwheels)
A centrepiece rosette-type ornamental motif made up of geometric elements (circles, arches, hooks, curls, etc.) which, arranged around the centre, create the impression of movement (to the right or left) and somewhat resemble windmills or their wheels. This motif is also known as mlynok (small windmill) and used in wood carving, inlay and pysanka (Easter egg) designs.
