Kopyttsi (Little Hooves)
An ornamental motif consisting of interconnected arches with pointed ends resembling hoofprints, hence the name ‘kopyttsi’ (little hooves) or ‘duzhky’ (arches).
Depending on the arrangement and combinations of the elements, there can be numerous variations of this motif. The motif belongs to the nail-shaped carving designs.
