Duzhky (v kvadratah) (Brackets in Squares)
An ornamental motif made up of rounded curvilinear elements. It is similar to the ‘vorota’ (gates) and ‘arochky’ (arches) patterns. This motif is created mainly by the flat carving technique (engraving with crosshatching). In combinatorics, it is used to create new band motifs.
