Holovkate (Head-shaped)
An ornamental motif made up of diamond-shaped heads combined with larger triangles intertwined in a zigzag strip. The motif creates straight-line or circular band patterns. It can be created by chip carving or engraving techniques (‘holovkate sichene’) with crosshatching (‘ilchate pysmo’). The motif is used in flat carving and metal chasing.
